Enchant and Combine

Make your Rare and Elite gear stronger at the Blacksmith: enchant it with stones up to +120% and combine it up to CS 12.

Enchant

The Blacksmith's Enchant window on PC. 1 = material slot (the stone), 2 = equipment slot (your gear), 3 = Upgrade.

At the Blacksmith choose Enchant, put your Rare or Elite gear in the item slot and a stone in the material slot, then confirm. A success adds the % written in the stone's name. Gear goes up in 3% steps to +120%.

All five stones drop from monsters (see the Auto Hunt drop list). also drops from mini bosses and on the war maps, and costs 100 War Points at your clan Elder.

These stones are for gear only. Wings use feathers at the Tailor (see wings).

Can gear break?

A failed enchant takes the gear down one step (-3%). Up to +60% a failure never destroys the gear.

A try that would take the gear above +60% can destroy it if it fails. Use a before such tries: if the gear would break, the charm is used up and the gear only drops one step.

Since the 205 update, when a try could destroy your gear and no is active, the Enchant window shows a red warning that the item will be destroyed if it fails, and how many charms you have in your bag. Carrying the charm is not enough: use it before the try.

On the official server +120% is the cap right now, so gear at +120% cannot be enchanted further and cannot drop below +120% by enchanting (see Past +120%).

Wings follow the same +60% line but are protected by a (see wings). Costume upgrade is not active on the official server.

Guarantee counter

Each time a is used up while enchanting (it saves the gear from breaking and the gear drops one step), the gear's guarantee counter goes up by 1.

When the counter reaches its target — 10 for Rare gear, 20 for Elite gear — the next enchant of that gear takes it straight to +120% and the counter starts again from 0. Above +120% there is no guarantee.

The counter belongs to the item. It shows in the item's tooltip in your bag: 'Guarantee Enchant 120%' with a bar and 'x / 10' on Rare gear or 'x / 20' on Elite gear (PC: hover over the item; mobile: tap it). Some older items have no counter.

Since the 205 update the 'Guarantee Enchant 120%' line is shown only on Rare and Elite gear (wings keep theirs); Unique and Common gear do not show a guarantee counter.

Wings have the same counter with at the Tailor (see wings).

Past +120%

Not on the official server yet: the (to go past +120%) and the are not available right now. The server features list says +150% will be added later; watch the announcements.

Elite stars

Six kinds of Elite gear get stars: weapon, armor, gloves, boots, amulet and ring. Capes and gear that is not Elite get no stars.

The first time you get the item it rolls 1 to 6 stars; higher stars are rarer. The stars are set once: they never change and cannot be re-rolled.

Stars stay on the item: enchanting, trading, stalls and storage do not remove them. (If an enchant destroys the item, its stars go with it.)

Hover over the item (PC) or tap it (mobile) to see its stars and the bonus they give.

Set bonus (all 6 pieces worn, at any level): every piece Elite with at least 3 stars gives HP +4%, Damage +2%; all 6 pieces with 6 stars give HP +8%, Damage +4%.

Only the highest tier counts (the two do not add up). If one piece has fewer than 3 stars there is no set bonus. A worn piece's tooltip shows the active set line.

In equal-stat areas (EDT, FFA and Titan) stars and the set bonus do not work; everyone is equal there.

Since the 205 update the active set bonus shows as an icon in your buff bar (3 or 6 stars; hover over it on PC, tap it on mobile). New M33 Elite CS set: all 6 pieces M33 Elite and at least CS6 give +2000 HP, all CS12 +4000 HP (in total, not added to the +2000). This HP comes after all % bonuses, so % bonuses do not make it bigger; it has its own buff bar icon too.

Combine (CS)

CS is the combine stage of an item; CS 12 is the maximum. At the Blacksmith open Combine, put the gear in the first slot and a material in the second: another Rare or Elite item of a matching level (for M33 gear an M32 or M33 item) with no enchant and no combine. Each success adds +1 CS and each try costs silver, more at higher stages.

Without a ticket the chance gets lower at every stage.

If it fails your gear keeps its stage: a ticket is used up, a sacrificed item is kept.

From CS 1 the item details show 'Combine : N'.
