Chat channels for nearby players, your party, guild, clan and the whole server, plus whispers. World chat needs Lv 10.

Channels

After a message in General, Clan or Shout you wait 3 seconds before the next one. A message can be up to 60 characters.

How to chat

PC: the chat box is at the bottom left. Press Enter, type, and press Enter to send. Pick the channel above the box, or start the line with ~ (Party), ! (Guild), @ (Clan) or # (Shout). World chat has its own button in the row above the skill bar.

Mobile: the thin strip above the skill bar shows the last messages. Tap it to open the big chat with tabs, then type and press SEND. Tap a player's name to whisper them; hold it for more options.

Missing messages? Mobile: Settings > SOUND & CHAT > Chat receive. A long press on a tab mutes or unmutes that channel.

Block a player

PC: right-click a player or click a name in chat, then choose Block. Mobile: tap the player, then Block.

Their messages are then hidden from you in every chat channel, whispers included, and so are messages from their other accounts on the same device. They are not told.

Your list: PC: ESC > Block List; mobile: Settings > BLOCKED PLAYERS > LIST. Up to 50 players; Unblock takes a player off the list. Game Masters cannot be blocked.

The list belongs to your account and is kept when you log out.
